Overview
TDM uses policies to tailor device management configuration to individual user’s needs.
Policy sections
The policy is split into several sections:
Configuration Permissions. These are used to grant the user the ability to modify categories of settings within the device’s Settings app.
Feature permissions. These disable device features such as Bluetooth, Debugging or USB file transfers.
General Security. This includes Common Criteria mode, automatically installing system updates and disabling USB data.
Lock screen. These decide what mechanisms can be used to unlock the device, and what notifications and features are available at the lock screen.
Password policy. These decide the password complexity, expiration and maximum failed attempts.
Threat detection. These determine the automated response that TDM should take for a range of device and application threats if detected.
In addition, TDM provides a mechanism for installing and hiding applications.
Pre-configured policies
TDM provides pre-configured policies that are available during setup.
