Overview

Once installed, TDM requires no network connectivity.

You will need an Android 7+ device and a device licence (see How licence activation works).

Before installing, sign out of your Google account and perform a factory reset.

To install, the phone needs to retrieve the TDM application. There are several options depending upon the network connectivity available and the hardware features of the phone. These are listed in order of simplicity. Pick one approach from:

• Devices with access to the Internet

  • and have NFC hardware support: see Installing with NFC and the Internet (most phones but excludes some tablets).

  • and have a camera: see Installing using QR code.

• Devices that are connected to a private Wi-Fi network: see Installing without the Internet.

• All other devices, including those without network connectivity: see Installing without NFC, camera or Wi-Fi.
